The Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu recently announced the shortlist of zero carbon and near-zero carbon factories in Jiangsu province for the year 2025, with two companies from Rudong county of Nantong, Jiangsu province, making the list.

Zhongtian Power Optical Cable has been designated as a provincial-level zero carbon factory, while Jiangdong Fittings Equipment is recognized as a provincial-level near-zero carbon factory. Both are wholly owned subsidiaries of Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology, also known as ZTT Group.

The greenhouse gas emissions produced by these factories during manufacturing and service processes can be eliminated through emission reduction projects outside the factory or offset with carbon credits. This approach aims to maximize independent emission cuts and ultimately reach net zero emissions.

The two companies have continued to promote green factory construction and clean production through various measures such as technological innovation, process optimization, and energy structure transformation.
