Rudong witnesses growth in imports and exports in Q1-3

According to statistics from Rudong Customs, the total value of Rudong's foreign trade reached 48.89 billion yuan ($6.86 billion) in the first three quarters, an increase of 8.3 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
Imports reached 32.76 billion yuan and exports reached 16.14 billion yuan, up 9 percent and 7 percent, respectively.
Rudong's trade with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative was 34.32 billion yuan, up 9.9 percent, while its trade with other RCEP member countries amounted to 11.61 billion yuan, a hefty increase of 22.9 percent.
Over the same period, the county exported 2.75 billion yuan in high-tech products, an increase of 8.3 percent, and imported 490-million-yuan worth of such goods, an increase of 11.3 percent. This reflects continuous industrial upgrading among Rudong's enterprises.
