The first phase of the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) wrapped up in Guangzhou on Oct 19, with 27 companies from Qidong presenting their new and high-quality products.
By establishing precise links with global buyers, local enterprises received several orders, underscoring Qidong's manufacturing sector's strength and innovation.
Qidong exhibitors occupied 46 booths, featuring products across home appliances, new energy, general machinery, tools, and household goods.
Among them, Sesame Tools — a leading company in Qidong's electric tool industry and a veteran of over 20 Canton Fair editions — stood out with more than 20 upgraded products and introduced a new multifunctional battery pack globally. This innovative launch attracted substantial interest from international buyers, especially from Europe and the United States. Within just two days, the company engaged with over 200 potential clients, securing confirmed orders of $800,000 and expressing interest in additional orders amounting to $1.5 million.
Another highlight was Longen Power's hybrid energy solutions, which combine diesel engines, batteries, solar, and wind power to create off-grid microgrids, impressing visitors with their versatility and environmental advantages. The company also introduced upgraded diesel generator sets with improved performance, attracting repeat visits from interested buyers. It anticipates securing close to $2 million in orders from the fair.
The 138th Canton Fair is being held in three phases. Sixteen additional Qidong companies will take part in the upcoming sessions, highlighting building materials, furniture, and home textiles — demonstrating the city's latest innovations and industrial capabilities.
