Rudong firm improves competitiveness through intelligent, green development

The new special cable project of Zhongtian Naisi in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, is setting a new benchmark for the field of intelligent and green manufacturing.
The project, with an investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($48.41 million), started construction in August 2024 and was put into operation just eight months later.
According to General Manager Chen Yukun, the project addresses the pressing needs of China's communications and new energy sectors, meeting the high-speed, high-frequency transmission standards required by 5G base stations and data centers. It also marks a step toward reducing reliance on foreign technologies and advancing domestic innovation in new energy.
The entire factory area has established a full process digital system from market demand to research and development, production, and delivery in the field of new technology and intelligent manufacturing, achieving traceability of every cable.
Relying on the advantages of intelligent manufacturing, the company is also making low carbon empower its industrial competitiveness.
A total of nearly 6MW micro photovoltaic power generation system has been built in the factory area, forming an energy closed-loop with energy storage facilities and achieving comprehensive connection between the factory equipment and the energy system.
The system can generate up to 5 million kilowatt-hours of green electricity each year—enough to power all facilities in the factory and ensure that production runs entirely on clean energy.
In addition, the company's special cable project is improving the collaborative efficiency of the industrial chain through intelligence. It not only drives the improvement of the supply response efficiency of upstream copper materials, green auxiliary materials and other industrial chains, but also can match the customized needs of downstream 5G base stations, offshore wind power and other fields.
