Nantong adds one national-level characteristic industrial cluster
The offshore wind power equipment industry cluster of Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, was recently included in the list of small and medium-sized enterprise characteristic industrial clusters in 2025.
There are 100 recognized ones nationwide, six of which are from Jiangsu province.
The main area of the industry cluster is located in the Rudong Economic Development Zone. Relying on the first national torch offshore wind power characteristic industry base in China and the only wind power equipment new industrialization demonstration base in the province, the industry cluster is committed to building an innovative demonstration base for the offshore wind power equipment industry in the Yangtze River Delta.
The industry cluster, occupying an area of 86 square kilometers, is home to 58 offshore enterprises engaged in the wind power equipment industrial chain, including one listed company, three national-level single-product champion enterprises in the manufacturing sector, and 40 national-level high-tech enterprises.
In 2024, the industry cluster's total output value hit 22.47 billion yuan ($3.15 billion), with an average growth rate of 15.9 percent in the past three years.
