ZTT Group, based in Rudong county in Nantong city, East China's Jiangsu province, was included on the latest list of the country's top 500 companies, released by the China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association on Sept 15.
The list is based on the revenue of enterprises in 2024, with the entry threshold increased in the latest rankings by 579 million yuan ($81.46 million) from the previous year, reaching 47.96 billion yuan.
ZTT started out with fiber-optic communications in 1992 but has since diversified, with new energy as the development driver, the maritime economy as the leader, the smart grid as a key support and digital communications as the primary engine.
In the first half of the year, the group's operating revenue hit 23.6 billion yuan, up 10.19 percent year-on-year.
