Faced with market uncertainty, Xingi Technology, a leading enterprise in ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, has nevertheless achieved remarkable results.
Located in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province, the company has produced 19,075 metric tons of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers as of August this year.
Ren Daxian, the company's executive deputy general manager, said that this type of fiber boasts advantages such as high strength, high cutting resistance, and high impact resistance. It is not only an essential for military and marine cables but also extends its applicability to everyday life scenarios such as fishing lines and home textiles.
The company is an industry benchmark with a market share of around 60 percent.
After more than 10 years of technical polishing, the product specifications have expanded from the initial 400D single specification to hundreds of specifications such as 10D, 50D, and 200D. Differentiated series such as ultra-high strength and bulletproof special have also been developed.
Intelligent upgrading is a strength of the company. This year, it invested over 100 million yuan ($14.14 million) to build an automated detection system and construct a light rail style transportation network through corridors.
After the system is built, products from workshop production to finished product loading, from conveying, testing, sorting to bagging, packing, and warehousing, all processes do not require manual intervention, said Ren.
