Lin Ming, a technical manager dispatched by an overseas shipowner to COSCO Shipping (Qidong) Offshore, has described his first visit to Qidong as a refreshing experience.

Having lived and worked in Singapore for many years, he was struck by the city's coastal charm. "Qidong is close to the sea, the air is fresh, and it's full of natural atmosphere. Living here gives me a real sense of security," he said of his first impressions.

Lin currently serves as technical manager for an FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) project. Since arriving in April from Nantong, he has been working closely with the technical team in Qidong to advance the project. "The hull of the vessel has already taken shape, and just last week we completed the installation of a module and the living quarters. Overall, progress is very smooth," he explained.

He noted that cooperation with COSCO's technical department has been seamless. "We've been working together for over a year now, and whether it's the working environment or team collaboration, it feels no different from Singapore," Lin said.

Outside of work, fitness is an important part of his daily life. At a local gym in the city, he has made many new workout friends. "The coaches and other members are very friendly. We often share tips on exercise techniques, diet management, and training methods," he added.
