Qidong, Jiangsu celebrated the successful christening of the province's first semi-submersible offshore platform integrating wind power, solar energy, and aquaculture on July 20.
With a total length of 53 meters and a width of 24 meters, the structure boasts an aquaculture volume of no less than 10,000 cubic meters. For the first time in China, a semi-submersible steel cage design has been deeply integrated with an operational offshore wind turbine.
This innovative model offers a new way to improve quality and efficiency in the offshore wind sector. It also marks a significant step forward in transforming traditional aquaculture, promoting its modernization, scaling-up, and expansion into deeper offshore waters.
