A special calligraphy and painting exhibition featuring renowned crosstalk master Jiang Kun and acclaimed painter Ding Jie opened in Rudong, one of China's top 100 counties in Nantong, Jiangsu, on May 30.

The exhibition displays 100 outstanding works by the two artists, drawing attention from art enthusiasts and residents alike.

Jiang Kun, known as a leading figure in the crosstalk world, has brought joy to audiences for decades with his witty performances. Less known to the public, however, is his talent in calligraphy. His calligraphy works, a blend of strength and fluidity, reveal his deep artistic sensibility and dedication to traditional Chinese culture.

Ding Jie, a well-known artist from Rudong, returned to his hometown with his paintings in the hope of contributing to the cultural development of Rudong and letting local people share in the beauty and value of artistic expression.
