Jiangsu Subo Printing & Dyeing, originally a manufacturer of knitted fabric base cloth, has grown into an industry leader through continuous innovations. Over the past 20 years, the company has transformed itself every five years, expanding into outdoor apparel fabrics, down jacket materials, and functional three-in-one fabrics.
Today, Subo integrates weaving, dyeing, finishing, coating, and laminating into a streamlined production system. With its strong domestic presence and exports to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America, the company achieved sales of 1.5 billion yuan ($206.49 million) in 2024, with projections to exceed 2 billion yuan this year.
Before 2010, Subo outsourced the dyeing of its interlining fabric process but faced quality inconsistencies due to a lack of direct control over its products. Determined to improve, the company secured approval for in-house dyeing and quickly mastered advanced dyeing techniques, propelling it to the forefront of the industry. By 2015, Subo had captured over 40 percent of the global interlining market, supplying top brands in Europe and the United States.
Recognizing the growing demand for functional fabrics, Subo began market research in 2015 and officially entered this sector in 2019. Today, its self-developed winter fabrics for down jackets and softshell jackets, featuring thermal insulation and breathability, and summer fabrics with moisture-wicking, antibacterial, and sweat-resistant properties, have become top-sellers in the textile market.
