On Nov 26, a signing and unveiling ceremony was held for the Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES) Qidong Industrial Technology Research Institute and SUES National University Science and Technology Park Qidong Campus.

The collaboration between SUES and Qidong's Huilong town focuses on integrating the university's strengths in mechanical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, and computer science with Qidong's key industries. The initiative aims to drive innovation, industrial transformation, and upgrading in high-end machinery, new materials, electronic information, and intelligent manufacturing.

The partnership will emphasize technological innovation, result commercialization, talent recruitment, project development, and consultancy services, creating a robust framework for industrial growth.

Xu Kaiyu, vice-president of SUES, highlighted the alignment between the university's expertise and Qidong's industrial priorities, noting the strong foundation for cooperation. He pledged to leverage SUES's academic strengths to explore deeper collaborations with the local government and enterprises, contributing to Qidong's industrial modernization and high-quality development.
