This National Day holiday, Rudong introduced several innovative cultural and tourism experiences, offering a variety of ways to enjoy the coastal beauty, local cuisine, and cultural performances.

Located along the southern Yellow Sea, Rudong boasts nearly 70,000 hectares of tidal flats, which are rich in clams, razor shells, and other seafood. A popular local activity, known as "Sea Disco", involves visitors stomping through the mudflats to catch clams, creating a fun, dance-like motion. It has become a distinctive feature of Rudong's tourism offerings.

Ahead of the holiday, the Xiaoyangkou Tourism Resort launched a National Day Carnival guide, featuring activities like clam catching, mudflat tug-of-war, mudflat soccer, and water gun battles. The resort also hosted daily performances, including classic children's plays, Peking Opera, and dazzling drone displays. Over 300,000 tourists visited the resort in the first five days of the holiday.

October is also the peak season for seafood in Rudong. Following the lifting of the fishing ban in August, local fishermen set out to sea, bringing back hauls of crabs and shrimp. During the National Day holiday, the demand for fresh seafood surged, with local markets thriving and large orders coming from Shanghai, Nanjing, and Zhejiang.

In addition, Bencha Ancient Town curated a special series of events, including Rudong acrobatics, live interactive broadcasts, a China-Thailand cultural exchange carnival, and food fairs. This blend of entertainment, food, and shopping offered an unforgettable experience for visitors.
