Nantong receives over 6.5m tourists during National Day holiday

Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province received nearly 6.54 million tourists during the seven-day National Day holiday, which ended on Oct 7, generating about 6.21 billion yuan ($884.90 million) in tourism revenue.

The figures represent 19.96 percent and 15.27 percent year-on-year increases, respectively.

The city's A-rated scenic spots, key rural tourism villages, and cultural facilities received 3.45 million tourists, whose consumption sum amounted to 2.98 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.22 percent.

Nantong's tourist attractions and cultural facilities offered various activities to entertain travelers.

Nantong Forest Safari Park was the fourth most popular scenic spot provincewide during the holiday. It offered activities, including iron fireworks displays, fireworks displays, and bonfire parties, to its visitors.

Langshan Mountain National Forest Park attracted nearly 300,000 tourists during the holiday with activities such as walking on stilts, drum dances, and scene plays.

At Bihai Yinsha scenic spot, the sunrise, electronic music festival, fireworks display, and other entertainment attracted nearly 100,000 tourists during the holiday.

Changle town in Haimen district taught visitors about tea dim sum, clay paintings, woodblock paintings, and rubbings.
