Rudong attracts record number of high-tech projects in first eight months
Rudong county in Nantong has attracted 102 high-tech projects this year, marking a 43.7 percent year-on-year increase and setting a new record. From January to August, the output value of the county's high-tech industry accounted for 43 percent of its total industrial output.
Nantong Yaohua Fiber has been in the refined cotton industry for 40 years. It has honed new technologies and processes to meet customer demands for stability and flexibility. Its products are exported to countries including South Korea, Thailand, Italy, Germany, and Denmark and are primarily used in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and construction.
"Our cutting-edge products now hold an 80 percent share of the global market," said Bao Aiming, the company's chairman. Yaohua Fiber has also drafted China's national standards on refined cotton.
In recent years, Rudong has emphasized the importance of high-end, intelligent, and green industrial development, accelerating the integration of information technology and manufacturing.
Jiangdong Technology, located in the Rudong Economic Development Zone, has leveraged intelligent manufacturing technology to produce 60 kilometers of unique optical fiber per minute, boosting production efficiency by an average of 30 percent.
Aipeng Medical's nasal care spray workshop has implemented ERP and MES systems, enabling real-time product status and equipment operation monitoring. This has resulted in a 37 percent increase in efficiency, with daily output reaching 40,000 bottles of nasal care products.
Rudong continues to focus on attracting new projects as a key strategy to cultivate new quality productive forces, particularly emphasizing sectors such as new energy, new materials, advanced equipment, and life sciences.
