The Sandy • Xingsu homestay in Qilong town, Nantong, a perfect spot for star chasers, recently started trial operations.
With a total investment of 10 million yuan ($1.40 million), the homestay boasts a variety of offerings, such as camping, barbecue, fishing, and picnics – pretty much anything a tourist could want.
The first phase of the homestay consists of two buildings for catering and 10 assembled houses with various themes, ship-themed, star-themed, apple-themed, and space-themed ones.

The 10 assembled houses feature different sizes and shapes and are well-spaced over the 100 mu (6.67 hectares) of lawn. They are finely decorated and surrounded by vast stretches of flowers in four seasons.
The star-themed house is unique due to its transparent roof, which allows the lodger to appreciate the starry skies while lying in bed. Outside, the 15-meter-high slope next to the apple-themed house will become a perfect spot for admiring stars in October.
"The surroundings are truly delightful and the lodging experience is quite exceptional." "Here, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, both body and mind can get some much-needed relaxation." These are just a few of the many praises heaped on the homestay by its first group of tourists.
Sandy • Xingsu homestay will officially open to the public on Oct 1.
