The theater has also hosted 152 artistic performances involving singing, music, dancing, operas, and dramas. It has also provided free art lectures and set up a children's chorus, children's dance troupe, and youth symphony orchestra.

Designed by French architect Paul Andreu, the theater resembles five shining flower petals shimmering on Zilang Lake. As a new Nantong landmark, the theater also won the China Installation Engineering Quality Award in 2023.
