Qidong prepares for May Day holiday with cultural, recreational activities

As the May Day holiday approaches, Qidong is gearing up for an influx of visitors. The city's bureau of culture, broadcasting, and tourism, along with various scenic spots, are busy preparing to offer a diverse and exciting holiday experience for all.

Venues like libraries, cultural centers, museums, and woodblock print institutes will host a variety of activities that reflect local traditions.

Tourist attractions are also making special preparations. Tang World, an immersive amusement park themed around the ancient Tang Dynasty, has released a program featuring cyber parades, fireworks displays, and more. "These vibrant events are expected to attract 75,000 visitors," said Wang Jia, the scenic area's operations director.

Xu Gang, chairman of Jiangtian Ecological Park, said that the park expects an average daily flow of 3,000 visitors during the holiday, with the camping grounds and children's play area being particularly popular.

At Yuantuojiao Tourist Resort, a stage is being set up for lawn concerts in preparation for the May Day holiday. "To welcome visitors, we're planning various performances, including lawn concerts, open-air movies, bonfire parties, and musical fountain shows."
