The Overseas Chinese Library, which was initiated by Nantong native Zhen Xiang in 2018, will establish five more bookcrossing stations domestically and overseas, according to a signing ceremony held in Nantong on April 23, marking the 29th World Book Day.
Two of the five bookcrossing stations will be located in the United Arab Emirates, Italy, with three others in Beijing, Shanghai, and Nantong.
Funded by overseas Chinese people from more than 50 countries and regions, the library has received donations of over 100,000 books and established more than 140 bookcrossing stations in 50 countries over the past six years. To date, the library has further collected more than 30,000 books for its bookcrossing stations around the world.
