Executives of multinational corporations (MNCs) and representatives of overseas agencies in Jiangsu kicked off their Jiangsu tour in Nantong from April 16 to 17.
On the first day, Zhang Tong, mayor of Nantong, met with over 30 MNC executives and representatives of overseas agencies to discuss cooperation.
Zhang extended a warm welcome to the guests, explaining that Nantong has regarded an open economy as one of its main growth drivers and expects to share opportunities with MNCs.
Nantong is becoming a city with booming modern industries and is also fostering emerging industries and future industries, offering MNCs more investment opportunities and bright development prospects, Zhang added.
She also promised to create a first-class business environment with efficient administrative services.
Some of the participating MNC executives delivered speeches at the meeting. They spoke highly of the business environment in Jiangsu and Nantong and expressed confidence in investing in the two places.
