Rudong, a county in Nantong, Jiangsu province, saw its foreign trade exports reach 3.25 billion yuan ($449.72 million) in the first two months of the year, marking an 11.5-percent year-on-year increase.

"This strong growth is a result of policy incentives aimed at enhancing the international competitiveness of our products," said Wang Feng, Party secretary of the Rudong county bureau of commerce.

Jiangsu Busy Man Textile Co Ltd specializes in producing souvenir towels used at large-scale sports events, concerts, and Disneyland. The company initially rented a factory in the Rudong Economic Development Zone. Two years ago, it invested 50 million yuan to build a new factory, which was completed and put into operation last year, doubling their export capacity.

"With the new factory and equipment, overseas clients are more willing to place orders. We expect our exports to double this year," said Huang Hepeng, the company's owner.

Xingi Technology Co Ltd in Rudong is the world's largest supplier of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers. The company's independently-developed fibers are as fine as a strand of hair but have a tensile strength 15 times that of steel wire.

The company accounts for over 50 percent of global production and sales. Last March, the company completed its fourth-phase expansion project and is expected to operate at full capacity this year.

This year, Xingi Technology's exports are continuing to grow, accounting for one-third of their production capacity.
