Nantong airport to kick off new flight season

The Nantong Xingdong International Airport in Jiangsu province will start the summer and autumn flight season on March 31 with 120 flights per day on average going to 36 major cities, according to the airport.

The airport is negotiating with passenger airlines. Fifteen airlines will arrange over 60 flights to depart from or make a stopover in Nantong, and 900 flights will depart from or arrive at the airport per week.

The airport is expected to add flights to Dalian, Zhuhai, Yantai, Guiyang, Xi'an and Macao, resume flights to Nanning, Xining, and Hailar, and increase flights to Guilin and Kunming.

The latest flight timetable shows that there are six flights to Chengdu and Kunming per day, five to Beijing, and four to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, Guiyang, and Dalian.

Shenzhen Airlines operates about 406 flights per week at Nantong airport, bound for provincial capitals, and is now offering discount return tickets between Nantong and Hong Kong as well as Nantong and Macao.
