First-grade primary school student Cao Qixian, from Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, Jiangsu province, broke the women's world record for solving a Rubik's Cube, finishing with an average time of 5.65 seconds at the World Cube Association Rubik's Cube Open (Luoyang Station) on March 10.

This achievement came shortly after Cao had already broken the women's world record once before on the same day with an average time of 5.75 seconds.

The Rubik's Cube competition attracted 200 participants from all over China and abroad.

Cao, a student at Hai'an Experimental Primary School, first encountered the Rubik's Cube during her kindergarten years. Last October, she broke the women's Rubik's Cube speed-solving world record with a time of 5.97 seconds at the World Cube Association's Rubik's Cube International Open in Singapore, becoming the first female player in the world to achieve an average time of under 6 seconds.

The Rubik's Cube encompasses arithmetic, geometry, logic, and other academic disciplines. Quickly solving the Rubik's Cube requires coordination between the brain, eyes, and hands, making it a highly concentrated process.
