Sixty-two textile companies in Nantong, Jiangsu province, recently reaped fruitful results at the 2024 Heimtextil, a home textile exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany in January.

As a professional exhibition, Heimtextil enjoys a well-earned global reputation in the home textile field, attracting over 2,800 exhibitors from more than 60 countries this year.

During the exhibition, a large group of overseas companies established plans for collaboration with Nantong counterparts.

In the first quarter of this year, the Nantong municipal bureau of commerce plans to organize local companies to attend five exhibitions abroad, including the Heimtextil and Asia Pacific Maritime.

In 2023, local authorities arranged 1,154 companies to participate in 102 international exhibitions abroad, both exceeding pre-pandemic figures.

A spokesman from the municipal bureau of commerce noted that supporting local businesses in attending overseas exhibitions is an important move to shore up the confidence of foreign trade companies and stabilize foreign trade development in the city.
