In 2023, Huilong town, Nantong, Jiangsu province completed the signing of 11 projects with investments valued at over 100 million yuan ($14 million) each. The operating income of key service companies above a designated scale in the town reached 1.38 billion yuan, achieving a growth rate of 16.7 percent year-on-year.

To accommodate more high-quality projects, the brand new Fengshu Comprehensive Industrial Park, situated within the town's Chengbei Industrial Park, is under construction. With an investment of approximately $100 million, the park features 88,000-square-meters of two-story factories. It aims to introduce globally renowned food enterprises and high-end manufacturing companies. Once completed, the new park is forecasted to generate annual taxable sales of 400 million yuan.

Furthermore, the town has made great strides in the improvement of infrastructure and technical services to attract more investment. In 2023, more than 13 scientific and technological innovation projects were certified, and 18 high-tech enterprises were approved. Additionally, Chengbei Industrial Park completed 18 digital transformation projects and facilitated 12 university-enterprise cooperation projects. Two science and technology innovation platforms were also established during the productive year.

He Xu, vice-mayor of Huilong town, revealed that the next phase is to step up efforts in the introduction of large projects and the promotion of industry upgrades.
