A brand new ultra-precision technology joint research center was inaugurated at KOTA Technology Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Douson Drilling and Production Equipment Co Ltd, in Chongchuan district, Nantong, Jiangsu province on Jan 2.

The research center will focus on cutting-edge issues, key technologies, and foundational theories related to ultra-precision technology and underscore strategic, innovative research efforts.

A collaborative effort between Dalian University of Technology and Suzhou Douson, the establishment of the research center aims to drive the high-quality development of Chongchuan's intelligent equipment industry.

During the signing ceremony, Chen Xiansheng, vice-chairman of both Douson and KOTA Technology emphasized that the collaboration with Dalian University of Technology would accelerate the penetration and development of their ultra-precision vacuum coating equipment, positioning them as industry leaders.

Chen further highlighted the pivotal role of university-industry partnerships. He said that such collaborations would facilitate closer ties in technical strategic consulting, technological innovation, product development, talent cultivation, resource sharing, and market intelligence.
