Qidong recognized as provincial-level model tourist destination
Qidong, situated in Nantong, Jiangsu province, was recently recognized as a model tourist destination by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
A county-level city located at the mouth of the Yangtze River, Qidong now boasts one provincial-level tourism resort, one provincial-level wetland park, 11 scenic spots at the national 3A level or above, and 68 intangible cultural heritage items at the provincial or municipal level.
Apart from its tourism appeal, the city is also renowned for its thriving marine economy, architecture, educational institutions, print industry, and the exceptional longevity of its residents.
