A panel consisting of representatives from the Nantong Maritime Safety Bureau, Rudong Customs, and Rudong immigration inspection station recently conducted an on-site inspection of the liquid chemical terminals G4 and G5 as well as general berths F1 and F2 at Yangkou Port in Rudong county, Nantong, Jiangsu province.
The inspection included a review of qualifications, operational management systems, and relevant documentation. A consensus was reached that the production facilities, regulations, and conditions for opening-up at the four berths meet the necessary standards.
The liquid chemical berths G4 and G5 were completed and put into operation in November 2022. Both berths have a designed annual throughput capacity of 4.79 million metric tons. The general berths F1 and F2 were completed and put into operation in April 2023. F1 is a 50,000-ton grade berth, while F2 is a 5,000-ton grade berth, with a designed annual throughput capacity of 3 million tons.
The opening of these berths will significantly broaden the foreign trade channel for Yangkou Port, which holds vital importance in ensuring continuous stable production for enterprises in the adjacent industrial zone, driving local economic development and maintaining stability in foreign trade while promoting growth. This will also enhance Yangkou Port's international service capabilities and competitiveness.
