The chemical park of Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone has once again ranked among the top 30 chemical industrial parks in China, moving up one place since the previous year. 

The results were announced during the 2023 China Chemical Industrial Park Forum, which was held in Quanzhou, Fujian province from Oct 25 to 27. Wang Wei, a member of the zone's Party committee and the deputy director of the administrative committee, led a delegation that actively engaged in discussions and investment promotion activities.

In 2023, the park has accelerated project construction, with over five billion yuan ( 683.64 million ) in investments for new chemical projects. Notable projects featuring companies like Sumitomo Bakelite, Nantong JiangTian Chemical, Asahi Kasei, and Polyplastics are already under construction. It continues to enhance its infrastructure, improve the environment and focus on safety with robust managing mechanisms in place.
