Nantong Library kicked off a Dunhuang-themed painting exhibition on Oct 21 to popularize Dunhuang culture and showcase the unique style of Chinese art.
Dunhuang is one of the birthplaces of ancient Chinese civilization as well as a pivot town along the Silk Road. It is home to the world cultural heritage site Mogao Grottoes and Yadan National Geopark.
The exhibition showcases 160 paintings which depict Dunhuang culture using Chinese ink, cartoon, freehand sketching, and cloth and will conclude on Nov 5.
