A captivating drone show in the Rudong Economic Development Zone, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, brought the county's vibrant night market event to life on Aug 20.

From city streets to rural landscapes, the event offered a wide range of engaging activities, including informative displays, artistic performances, livestreams, cultural heritage exhibitions, and charitable initiatives.

At Chengzhong subdistrict's Xirun plaza, a science outreach market was held, during which firefighters demonstrated essential equipment such as fire trucks, protective gear, and breathing apparatuses and introduced their functions and applications. The market also provided emergency first aid classes, focusing on summer drowning prevention techniques, during which many parents and children learned life-saving skills.

Fifteen traditional Chinese medicine stalls at the night market captivated those curious to explore the topic. A doctor from the Rudong County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital hosted wellness talks, introducing health-conscious dietary recipes and summer health teas as well as how to prepare them.

Amidst cultural performances, 46 volunteers wearing qipao offered up a visual feast of traditional Chinese dress to the audience.

To bolster local farmers' livelihoods, the Rudong County Supply and Marketing Cooperative held a livestream during the event. The initiative was aimed at promoting and selling over 40 varieties of Rudong's agricultural products and achieved strong results.
