Nantong Beer Carnival wraps up

The 10-day second Nantong Beer Carnival came to a conclusion at Zilang Park in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Aug 13, local media reported.
The event was attended by more than 160,000 people, nearly 700 of which found jobs at the nighttime job fair. The turnover of catering stores near the park was four times the usual amount during the 10-day event.

The highlight of the carnival was the 2,400-square-meter Qingdao beer zone, which showcased various high-end beers, containers for peddling original Qingdao beer, funky spaces, and special delicacies.
People also enjoyed light shows, fountain shows, and live performances by foreign bands.

During the event, counties and districts in Nantong also hosted activities to stimulate nightlife. For example, Chongchuan district held a beer and lobster festival, Rugao held a cooking competition, and Rudong held a food and music festival.
