Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province, led a delegation to Germany seeking economic and trade cooperation from Aug 11 to 14.

On the last day of the visit, an economic and trade exchange meeting was held in Berlin which saw participation of guests from industrial and commercial circles in Germany.

Wu introduced Nantong's economic and social development, saying that the city boasts a prominent strategic position, a solid industrial foundation, a dynamic atmosphere for innovation and entrepreneurship, and profound culture and history.

He noted that with the further integration of the Yangtze River Delta region, Nantong is attracting attention from all sides and is favored by investors.

The cooperation between Nantong and Germany features solid public support, extensive common interests, and abundant successful experience, Wu added.

He expressed his hope that more German enterprises will manufacture and develop products in Nantong.

A promotional video of Nantong was screened for guests, who were also introduced to the investment environment in the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area.

During the stay in Germany, Wu visited renowned enterprises including Symrise, Easun Technology, and Merck Group and witnessed more investment of German companies in the NETDA.
