In the first half of this year, Qidong Customs issued 371 Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement certificates of origin for exports worth totaling 120 million yuan ($16.56 million), which is expected to provide more than 1.4 million yuan in tariff benefits for export enterprises.

The RCEP came into effect on Jan 1, 2022. It is a free trade agreement with 15 members, including China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and ASEAN.

Since the implementation of the RCEP, Qidong Customs has implemented policies and measures to benefit import and export enterprises.

Online and onsite policy promotion activities on tariff reduction tables, application of rules of origin, and application for certificates of origin have been carried out by Qidong Customs, benefiting more than 120 import and export enterprises.

Nantong Kaileide Metal Technology Co Ltd exports mainly metal components. In the first half of the year, the company applied for 18 RCEP certificates of origin for 672,000 yuan worth of goods and enjoyed nearly 10,000 yuan in tariff reductions.
