A Qidong pingtan performance was staged at the theater of the Linggong School in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on May 28.

The Qidong pingtan troupe performed plays such as Lou Tai Hui, Spring Tour, and Bench Girl, showcasing the charm of traditional cultural art.

Qidong is a hotbed for pingtan art in northern Jiangsu. Over the years, the Qidong pingtan has formed a tune and singing style that integrates a variety of folk music, operas, and language characteristics of Qidong.

Qidong pingtan performers have long been participating in public welfare activities, spreading traditional art to thousands of households.
