Nantong airport to resume intl routes in June

Nantong Xingdong International Airport in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, will start resuming its international routes in June, according to Nantong Airport Group Co Ltd.

The airport plans to resume its route to Jeju Island, South Korea in June, to Seoul, South Korea, and Osaka, Japan in July, and to Bangkok, Thailand, in October.

The airport will also resume its routes to Urumqi and Yinchuan, cities in Northwest China, in June, adding them to its current flights to northwestern Chinese cities including Xi'an, Lanzhou, Xining, and Hanzhong.

On May 26, Nantong airport will cooperate with Shenzhen Airlines to open direct daily flights to Hong Kong with the departure time at 10:50 am and return time at 2:30 pm. The whole trip takes about 2 hours and 35 minutes.

This year, the airport added 10 more flights to Nanning, Xining, and Guilin with total daily flights increasing to over 110 and connecting 36 cities.

So far this year, Nantong airport has transported more than 1.06 million passengers, an increase of 4.22 percent compared with the same period in 2019.

Nantong airport has been offering customized services to passengers with special needs, passenger groups, and passengers who are traveling by air for the first time. During holidays, the airport usually arranges volunteers to assist passengers.
