Wu Xinming, Party secretary of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province, recently met with Neil Bush, president of United States-based Atlas Renewable Energy, to explore further exchanges in eco-environment protection and the new energy industry.
Wu detailed Nantong's economic and social development, saying that Nantong has made remarkable high-quality development achievements.
He added that the new energy industry is one of the key industries in Nantong and the US is an important source of foreign capital. He also said that he hopes Bush will introduce more American enterprises wishing to invest in the city and pledged to create a first-class business environment for them.
Bush was impressed by Nantong's efforts in eco-environment protection and infrastructure construction.
He said that with the help of Atlas, Nantong-based China Tianying Inc became the first to bring advanced gravity energy storage technology to China by cooperating with ev Transportation Services, a pure-electric light-weight utility vehicle maker in the US.
He also expects that the project will inspire more cooperation between enterprises from the two countries.
