Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province has made strides in innovative development in recent years.

In 2022, the county was ranked 13th on the list of top 100 Chinese counties in terms of innovation strength.

The increasing number of high-tech enterprises in Hai'an is another proof of the county's progress in innovation.

As of the end of 2022, Hai'an was home to 461 high-tech enterprises, the most in Nantong.

Over the past three years, the county has implemented 214 projects related to industrial research and development, applied for 215 patents, and granted 79 authorized patents.

This year, the county will continue to boost its innovative development.

On Feb 10, representatives of the Hai'an high-tech zone were dispatched to high-tech enterprises in Shanghai to attract investment.

Authorities have also launched policies that state the importance of introducing more projects related to high-end equipment, new materials, and the new generation of information technology.

According to authorities, the county aims to add 55 new high-tech enterprises this year.
