Chongchuan to bolster high-quality industrial development
A conference on high-quality industrial development was held in Chongchuan district, Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, on Feb 11.
More than 650 representatives from local enterprises and the Chongchuan government attended the conference and shared their views on high-quality development. The event also highlighted the district's goals for industrial development in 2023.
Shi Lei, CEO of Tongfu Microelectronics Co Ltd, spoke about the company's project development during the conference.
According to Shi, the company has established a base for integrated circuit component packaging and testing which had boosted the output value of the company to 18 billion yuan ($2.62 billion) in 2022, an increase of 10.5 percent year-on-year.
Due to the district's significant progress in industrial development, the taxable turnover of enterprises above the designated size was in excess of 100 billion yuan in 2022, a record high.
During the same period, the output value of six strategic emerging industries related to energy conservation and environmental protection, information technology, biotechnology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy, new materials, and new energy vehicles exceeded 60 billion yuan.
The conference also stressed the significance of boosting the development of the service industry.
Over the past year, the taxable turnover of the service industry was over 400 billion yuan, a 7.2 percent year-on-year increase.
According to the conference, the district aims to add 125 new enterprises above the designated size in the service industry and increase the taxable turnover of the industry to over 430 billion yuan.
In addition, the district will further develop its construction industry this year. Authorities said that they are aiming to increase the output value of the construction industry from 80.27 billion yuan in 2022 to more than 90 billion yuan.
