Nantong receives nearly 900,000 tourists during New Year holiday

Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province received 889,600 tourists and generated 636 million yuan ($91.93 million) during the three-day New Year holiday that concluded on Jan 2.
Tourist attractions in the city organized various activities to celebrate the festival, and the 2022 Nantong Winter Tour lifted the curtain on the local New Year and Spring Festival tourist market.

The event was aimed at promoting Nantong's abundant and high-quality tourism attractions via live streams.
Numerous tourists flocked to the Yuantuojiao tourist resort to welcome the New Year by witnessing the first ray of sunshine in Jiangsu. Meanwhile, the rare twin snow tigers made their first appearance at the Nantong Forest Safari Park, and at the Kaisha Island tourist resort, visitors went camping, had afternoon tea and held campfire parties.

Nantong culture and tourism authorities also organized 352 activities, including performances, exhibitions, and training courses both online and onsite, to enrich local residents' holiday experience.
