Highly efficient approval service improves business environment
Hai'an, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been focusing on improving its approval services for enterprises to build a business-friendly environment in recent years.
Simplifying approval processes has been one of the measures the authorities have taken.
To do so, the authorities have set up one-stop service windows on the third floor of the Hai'an government affairs center.
To date, the measures have reduced the amount of materials needed for the application process by 38 percent and the amount of processing time by 70 percent.
The county has also launched a self-inquiry system through which people can register and search for enterprise information conveniently.
As of November, the self-inquiry system has provided services 1,194 times.
Authorities have also launched an online platform that offers cross-province services for applicants. To speed up the approval process, 21 banks in Hai'an have offered services on the platform and helped 6,445 businesses to date.
In addition, 12 self-service terminals that allow people to apply for and print business licenses have been put into operation in the county.
