Sixty-three textile enterprises in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, are participating in the ongoing 36th Asia Fashion Fair Tokyo, which is being held in Tokyo from Dec 7 to 9.

The exhibits include home textiles, apparel, assistant materials, children's wear, and underwear.

Japan has always been an important market for Nantong's textile enterprises and the country has a large demand for textile products and apparel.

Founded by Chinatex Corporation Ltd in 2003, AFF has become the largest textile exhibition curated by Chinese institutions and is also one of the key purchase platforms for Japanese buyers.

A total of 435 enterprises have set up 527 booths at the exhibition this year, the same as before the pandemic broke out in early 2020.

Participating in overseas exhibitions is an important way for Nantong enterprises to expand into international markets. To assist local enterprises traveling overseas, the Nantong municipal bureau of commerce has rolled out support policies and encouraged them to attend exhibitions overseas as a group.

Since November, the bureau has arranged for local enterprises to attend many international exhibitions in Germany, Australia, and other countries.
