Security industry in Rudong thrives

The security industry in Rudong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has been thriving in recent years.
In 2021, 17 enterprises involved in the security industry in the county had a taxable turnover of over 100 million yuan ($13.99 million).
The Rudong Economic Development Zone has been playing a significant role in boosting the development of the security industry.
For example, the Yangtze River Delta Region Industrial Park of Security located in the zone has introduced leading enterprises and formed an industrial chain.
Official data shows that in the first half of this year, the taxable turnover of the security industry in the zone exceeded 2.3 billion yuan.
In addition, the zone has be focusing on bolstering scientific research within the security industry.
More than 20 research and development institutes above the provincial level have been established in the zone.
In Caobu town, an industrial park comprising security companies has been established to advance the competitiveness and influence of Rudong’s security industry.
Next, Rudong authorities will create an industrial alliance to provide better services to the security industry in the county.
