Within Nantong, a city in East China's Jiangsu province that is renowned for its production of home textiles, Chuanjiang town has the most prosperous home textile sector.

After all, Chuanjiang is home to the China Nantong Home Textile City, the largest home textile production base in the world.

The industrial base houses more than 300 foreign trade companies that export to over 100 countries and regions and have a combined export value of more than 5 billion yuan ($740.99 million) per year.

The textile industry in Chuanjiang has in recent years been focusing on improving its e-commerce capabilities. The town is now recognized as Taobao Town by AliResearch, a think tank of Alibaba Group, and 14 of its villages have been rated as "Taobao villages", which refer to those that are highly engaged in e-commerce.

The WeChat business supply market in the town currently has over 500 WeChat businesses with more than 10,000 employees. In 2021, the sales revenue of the e-commerce industry at the market totaled 46 billion yuan.

That same year, the China Nantong Home Textile City was listed among top 500 Chinese towns in comprehensive strength.

The industrial park aims to become an advanced home textile industrial park in the world with high-end, intelligent, and eco-friendly home textile industry.

Chuanjiang town will continue to seek innovative development and create favorable environment for technological innovation.
