Spend National Day holiday doing art in Nantong

Museums in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, will roll out various exhibitions during the upcoming seven-day National Day holiday which starts on Oct 1.

Nantong Art Museum

The calligraphy work and painting exhibition showcases nearly 90 calligraphy works, traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, cartoons, and woodblock paintings.

Other exhibitions include creative designs by students from vocational schools in Nantong as well as elaborate-style paintings and oil paintings from around China.

Nantong Museum

The art exhibition, which is sponsored by the Nantong Museum and Jingdezhen China Ceramics Museum, displays more than 100 ceramic works and paintings from the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the Republic of China (1911-1949).

The museum will also organize activities to familiarize local students with historic buildings and cultural relics.

Nantong Library

An exhibition to mark the opening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China uses photos and words to celebrate the development of China led by the CPC over the past decade.

Chongchuan District Library

A reading salon will be held on Oct 2 to spread the spirit of patriotism of renowned figures in ancient China.

Geyi Art Museum

The art exhibition at the Geyi Art Museum shows the paintings, calligraphy works, and photographs of artists and art enthusiasts in Nantong.

Tips: Visitors are required to have their temperatures checked and show their travel and health codes as well as negative nucleic acid test results within 72 hours before visiting these places.
