The Nantong Museum Union made its debut at the ninth Chinese Museums and Relevant Products and Technologies Exposition held in Zhengzhou, Henan province, from Sept 1 to 4.

The union, which was established in May, includes 30 museums and five other cultural establishments in the city.

Occupying an exhibition area of 135 square meters, the union used drawing boards to portray the development of museums in Nantong over the past 120 years and showcased over 60 cultural and creative products and more than 20 publications by Nantong museums.

Nine museums in Nantong, including the Nantong Museum, Nantong Textile Museum, China Abacus Museum, also organized 10 activities such as creating paintings with seeds, tie-dying, and assembling abacuses to entertain visitors.

Themed on innovation, development and preservation, the ninth edition of the Chinese Museums and Relevant Products and Technologies Exposition had a total exhibition area of 60,000 sq m and saw the participation of 645 museums and enterprises.
