The PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal at Yangkou Port – located in Rudong county, administered by Nantong city in East China's Jiangsu province – recently welcomed the arrival of its 50th LNG tanker this year.

The LNG tanker Grand Elena was carrying 65,700 metric tons of liquefied natural gas, or LNG, enough to power 182 million households for a day after gasification.

After receiving the LNG shipped by the Grand Elena, the total LNG received and unloaded by Yangkou Port this year has now topped 10 million cubic meters.

The PetroChina Jiangsu LNG Terminal is the largest of its kind in the Yangtze River Delta region. It currently has six LNG storage tanks, with total tank capacity of 1.08 million cu m.

When operating at full capacity, the terminal can guarantee gas supplies to 23 million households for one month during the peak consumption seasons.
