Qidong, a county-level city in Nantong, East China's Jiangsu province, has experienced rapid development in the past 10 years by leveraging its advantageous location and rich natural resources.

The city is taking advantage of its location and beaches at Lyusi Port to develop a harbor basin and port transport.
Lyusi Port is the first intelligent and unmanned container terminal in Jiangsu province and has two 100,000-ton universal berths.
Meanwhile, the city has been striving to develop its marine industry over the past 10 years.
Qidong established a marine engineering and ship industrial park on the banks of the Yangtze River.
The park is currently home to over 20 industrial enterprises and has been awarded the titles of "National Marine Equipment Industry Demonstration Base", "National Shipbuilding High-tech Industrialization Base", and "National Shipbuilding Export Base".
From January to June, the output value of the park's industrial enterprises over designated size totaled 13.37 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.7 percent.
In addition, the cultural and tourism industry is thriving in the city.
After 10 years of efforts, the city has built up the Yuantuojiao Resort on the desolate shoals, which has become a provincial tourist resort in Jiangsu province recognized by the Jiangsu Provincial Government.
Yuantuojiao Resort is an emerging tourist destination in the Yangtze River Delta, and more than 3 million tourists visit the resort every year.
