Spend summer hours at Nantong Eminent Figures Museum

Wondering where to spend the long summer days this summer holiday? The Nantong Eminent Figures Museum is one option.

On July 17, students from Nantong Chengzhong Elementary School visited the museum to learn about famous figures and experience the city's culture.

The Nantong Eminent Figures Museum, located in Chongchuan district, Nantong, opened to the public in 2021 to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

With an exhibition area of 7,459 square meters, the new museum in Nantong is divided into three conventional exhibition halls in chronological order and in line with major historical events. It also has an area for hosting special, themed, and temporary exhibitions.

The new facility showcases the lives of 1,943 eminent figures who were born in Nantong or grew up there and who made outstanding contributions to the city's and country's political, economic, and cultural development.

During the COVID-19 outbreaks in Nantong, the museum also did several livestreams about academicians from Nantong.

Opening hours: 9 am to 5 pm, Tuesday to Sunday (No entry after 4 pm)

Tips: Visitors are required to make a reservation via the official WeChat account of the Nantong Eminent Figures Museum (gh_1420eb6da937) before touring the museum.
