With a total planned investment of 7.2 billion yuan ($1.08 billion), the five projects all feature large investment, high quality and strong potential to stimulate economic growth.
One highlight is a project funded by Jiangsu Sendi Cultural Tourism Group. Located on the northeast of Nantong Forest Safari Park, the new leisure and tourism facility will cover 4.3 hectares and cost 1 billion yuan.
Integrating vacations, accommodation, specialty food outlets and catering, science popularization and others, it will include an ice-snow themed amusement park and a high-level hotel. After completion, it is expected to further boost the upgrading of tourism in Chongchuan and bolster the city's development.
Chongchuan has been focusing on project construction and has committed itself to attracting investment and new people in recent years. From January to May, 24 major industrial projects to cost a combined 18 billion yuan moved to the district. Meanwhile, nine major projects to cost 4.43 billion yuan broke ground during the period, which are expected to boost its high-quality economic and social development.
